I was born and raised in San Diego and this year is the first year that I am away from my family. We are far away from California but want to feel like it's Tet so I decided to cook the quintessential Thit Kho Trung. I was rather proud of myself because usually my mom would make this for me. Here is the picture of the dish I made. It took me about an hour to make, including the prepping part like cutting meat and garlic.
